Bioflavonoids and Vitamin C

Declaration of interest: We prepare freshly in our lab a preparation in powder form that contains an effervescent ascorbic acid/bioflavonoid combination and other activating ingredients.

The study cited in this journal of pharmacology shows that citrus bioflavonoids have a beneficial effect on circulation by strengthening blood vessel walls “microaneurysms and vascular leakage takes place leading to blockage of retinal capillaries and inducing local hypoxia”. In addition, they also help to improve resiliience of the various structures of the eye and hence may play a role in treating eye disorders and vision loss such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and cataract.   See link:  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4372466/
